Dr. Chao Zeng

Biography: Dr. Chao Zeng is currently a Research Associate at the TAMS (Technical Aspects of Multimodal Systems) group, Department Informatics, University of Hamburg (UHH). He received his Ph.D. degree in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems from South China University of Technology (SCUT), in December 2019. His general research interests focus on robot learning control with attention on robot imitation learning, compliant manipulation and grasping, learning adaptive control, and human-robot physical interaction and collaboration. He has hosted or participated as a main researcher in several international and national projects related to these topics. His research results have been reported in several international journals and conferences, including TMECH, TASE, TII., RAL, RAS, and IEEE IROS. He serves as an independent reviewer for numerous journals (e.g., TRO, TMECH, TASE, TII, TIE, RAL) and conferences (e.g., ICRA, IROS, ARM). He has also served as a Lead- or Co-Guest Editor for several journals such as Frontiers in Robotics and AI, Robotics and Autonomous Systems, Micromachine. He is the Co-publicity Chair for the conference EECR 2023, and a Technical Committee Member for several academic conferences such as ATAMI 2022 and MMME 2023.
